Set of 24 drawings: 20,3 cm x 14,2 cm (23 drawings) 31 x 36 cm (1 drawing)
The work was developed as part of the ORTung 2012 symposium in Strobl, Austria. The title ‘Austrian Summer’ is a neologism developed inquisitively while imagining ways to challenge one´s own and the collective´s inertia when it comes to (political) accountability in relation to both `Arab Spring´ and `American Winter´, events that have a specific idiomatic reading that `Austrian Summer´ does not have nor ever will. Central aspect of the work is reflecting on how identity of a place, a community or, more generally, a certain context is constructed and the role assignedto images.
Set of 23 drawings
The 20 works on paper do not abide by the norms of classical drawing, but rather create a connection between sociological research and art. Concerning Body Resistant, Calovski tries to explain specific neuroses that link public enviroment and the mental health of citizens whilst depicting his impression of private performance in public.
